As a cat owner I never shampooed mine, nor did I know anyone else who did, save for perhaps cleaning wounds from a fight or some other out of door smishap.

Is this considered normal cat care in Japan?

Maru was most accommodating, have you a blow drier session to share?

I think it varies by the owners. Some never shampoo their cats. I think Maru and Hana get shampooed once or twice a year. There's a Korean channel I watch that washes hers more often.

Mugumogu doesn't blow dry them. Maru and Hana dry naturally.

Very interesting - ours went in the tub once by accident which was more than enough! ;D
