Yes, and he's done that with her before.  At least a year ago, in the middle of one of her spiels, she told Ian "B.C." stood for "Before Cleopatra."  I thought he was going to blow a gasket...

Haha, I wish I'd heard that.

The Cowsills tonight. 2 degrees of separation. Yay there will be more than one of them... Minus the dead ones.

Bangles certainly will be mentioned.
Eh, nevermind...

This has got to be an old show tape

It was sounding familiar...

The record they're taking about coming out in September was already released.
Eh, nevermind...

A caller named Linda told Ian that she didn't like how he turned C2C into a music show.  Ian handled it by telling her he did find her lying to the call screener 'attractive', told her that his Friday's are Pop Culture and you can't groom a show to suit everyone.  The best part was when he told her he didn't care. (referencing her opinion)

I also found it refreshing that before open lines he made it clear that he wanted to hear new voices and not the ones that get in regularly.  I love they way he's been handling the regular callers.  It's clear he is weary of dealing with the entitled sad pack.  It was nice not to hear the likes of Cornelius, et al.

Cornelius, et al.
Shut Up!! Cornelius actually called in? I don't believe it for a second. Clearly even he doesn't remember calling.

Ha!  Neither of the Cornelius's called in.  However, it's too bad Roddy McDowall isn't alive.  He'd be a great guest.  The best Cornelius.

I swear that the Cowsills have been on C2C before, mentioning the documentary and the Happy Together tour.

I searched again this morning, last night's was supposedly the only show they've been on.

This is not deja vu, this is the full Mandela
Eh, nevermind...

I’m sure I remember at least on of them being on, too.
Merry Christmas

I wish Ian had more interest in the paranormal.  His shows tend to be NPR after midnight.  I think he'd be a really good host for Coast's bread and butter topics, since he does have the gall to challenge guests and callers alike.

Heh.  Yes.  At least he tends to put more inflection and animation in his voice than the typical somnambulant NPR drone. ;)

Looks like Ian is returning to one of his old regular topics when he guest hosts c2c this Friday night: DB Cooper...

love it, Punnett again 'I'm giving the regular callers (The Sad Pack) the night off' lol

he then said he realizes others may feel differently but he's glad 'George has my back'. Noory did address this and said other Coast hosts can do what they want.

Yep Corny complained to Noory one time about Ian blocking the regulars...

come to think of it, didn't Noory have a rule at one point for how often callers could call in? i seem to remember that.
