Well, a couple Georges might want to buy it to conceal their threads forever!

I have a good reason not to...  MV never got back to me.

I did ask for an audit though, to see if it was viable.  A few days ago, I wondered out loud here if controlling where the ads were placed would help avoid being banned. Barthur took it and ran.  BellGab is dead, it's archives has sentimental value, that is all.
Eh, nevermind...

No matter who buys bellgab, it will never be bellgab again IMO.  I don't think there is anyone else who could keep an unmoderated forum alive for  so many years.  I could be wrong.

I agree. MV did a fine job. The archives are gold and I hope they live on forever.

Good question. Whatever value BG had has been diminished by the way the closing was handled and by the new site here. Closing BG with almost no notice was a slap in the face to the members and a very poor business decision by MV. Since some people have archived a lot of the old site, the value of the content is lessened also. Anyone buying it should demand a disclosure about all the alternate identities and related business concerns of MV that would affect the value of BG. Revealing all the interconnections surrounding BG would probably quite illuminating.

I think you are correct. Maybe it was just time to flush the toilet?

It's kinda like Ford announcing they won't make cars anymore, then selling off the last Fusions as if the depreciation hit hadn't already happened.

Market value has been trashed for BellGab.

Yeah bg should be left as a read-only archive for future generations to possibly learn something or more likely just to laugh their asses off to.  It's like a time capsule now and can't be restarted or recreated.  (I do like though what Bart's done here for the bg refugees plus new folks, and I hope it does well in its own way.)

That sounds like a reasonable solution at this point.  Turn the ad sense back on and it may even make money
