Real good radio during those years. No overtly bitter Art, Ramona was still looking 18, Art was probably still getting laid by his ex at that time. He was rolling.

Art was fresh and excited to be broadcasting. The program material, although it was new, didn't really matter that much. It was Arts' enthusiasm I tuned in to listen to.
At that time, I was rolling with a $300.00 late 60's beater, 2-speed, 2-bbl, 350 cid, rusted to shit, but with a strong drive-train and a Solid-State AM (only) radio. It just depended on how the skip was bouncing, as to what AM channel I could pick Art up on.
I popped a 1/4 wave magnetic whip on the trunk lid - excellent ground plane (sw 1:1.4) - and would park, listening to Art, while I waited to see what was happening for the night on the CB.
