I listened to a show from 12-21-2003 on U7 where Bell was talking about a "flying saucer" photo taken near Sedona, AZ.  It was on the ground and the photo was taken from the air by a pilot who flew tourists around the Grand Canyon.  He got a few faxes that offered possible explanations (including a grain storage bin) at the end of the first hour, but the rest of the show was spent talking to an expert on robotics.

Does anyone remember this, and if so what, if any, conclusion was drawn as to what it was?  Anyone know where a copy of the photo might be?

Thanks.

..and who is Weeber?

In one of the Art Bell reboots, he had the always defensive whiner Whitley Strieber on.  Someone called in, got all nervous, and called him ''Weeber''.  Of course Whitly went ballistic, while the kid was apologizing all over the place.  It stuck, at least for awhile on Bellgab.

If ever there was a Weeber, it’s this guy.

Ahh!  Thanks. I'll go through the MITD and DM shows and find it. Sounds fun.

Whitley became more and more defensive over the years as he realized that he had gone way too far with his sorted tales. Just kept pilin' on the shit..  Shoulda stuck with the Communion theme.

Today on a mostly open lines show from 05,05,97 Art pondered why there wasn't a mouse flavored cat food. He wasn't kidding, in fact he was very serious. I'll tell you this - if they made an ice-cream flavored dog food they, dogs, would absolutely love it. But I'll bet they wouldn't like a cat flavored dog food.

What do you think @nooryisawesome ?

Listening to AB 2/15/96.  Politics, Art of Talk, international manufacturing, bigfoot, AIDS...

He said he was doing a show for 15 years at that point. That immediately made me think that him quitting in the early 2000s might not have been completely unjustified (in addition to the teacher's sex assault...).
Eh, nevermind...

Well, chronic back problems/pain were the reason one time. I've never had real back problems but I know people who at times cannot function when things are bad.  Hmm  I think I'll put that show on.

He returns to thoughts later on in the show, a great long-form listen.

He was damn good.

25-year old Art is still more pertinent and vibrant as yesterday's George sNoory.
