Dr. Walter E. Williams - 84,  author, economist, guest host on Rush’s show, and a great Libertarian.  Charles Barkley never accepted his challenge.
Merry Christmas

He wanted to go one-on-one with Barkley.  He pointed out that in his day, shots had to not only be good, they had to be pretty.  He was sure he could out shoot Barkley.

He also told the story that his wife was complaining about a tree growing in their yard.  He went out and bought her a chainsaw.

That's funny, especially with the age difference.  I always enjoyed reading his works.  His columns in the Richmond, VA paper were refreshing in compare to the other op-eds.

I was shooting baskets at a local school two summers ago and a fifteen year old kid challenged me to a game of horse.  It was a pretty close game, all in all but I pulled off a win at the very end.  Kind of freaked him out half way through the game, though.  I dribbled up about five feet from the left of the basket and made my shot.  Next thing I knew I was flat on my back, looking up at the guy's worried face.  No biggie, I dusted myself off and continued on with the game.

Oh no.  Walter Williams was a brilliant economist, professor, and writer, although I only know him through his syndicated column.

Oh, I always thought it was Rosey Grier that subdued the gunman.

Both of them.  That's a lot of strong man being fought off by a skinny runt who was not high on drugs nor the subject of mind control
Merry Christmas
