I just wanted to mention that if anyone goes up there and wants to see some of the buildings that were featured, look in the nearby town of the same name for certain scenes as well, not just along the bay and assume they're gone.

Doesn't he have a cameo appearance near the beginning of many of his films?

That's right.  It should also be mentioned that nearly all of the scenes for The Birds were shot in totally unrelated areas.  For instance, when the school kids get attacked by the birds, they run down a street into town, but the street was actually filmed on the other side of town.  (Also when you watch those kids it's rather easy to surmise that they were running on treadmills in front of a filmed backdrop.)  Hitchcock made a habit of including himself in lots of his movies but I don't know when he started doing it.  In the movie Frenzy, I recall seeing him standing with a crowd of people on a dock, looking down at the nude body of a woman that was floating in water.  Here is a very good video that explains a number of filmed locations for the movie The Birds.

Alan Hawkshaw

Composed music for 35 films and many television shows, died at an England hospital Oct. 16. He was 84.

He also composed tunes for the pop group The Shadows which toured with The Rolling Stones. He was sampled by many artists.

He worked on the music that was used in the short PROGRESS ISLAND U.S.A., featured in MST3K episode 621 The Beast of Yucca Flats

Thanks, Cam.  I thought his name looked familiar and after looking him up, I discovered that he did the music for Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World series.  I really dig the music while watching those DVDs.  RIP Alan.

One talented son-of-gun. I will now look into binging ACCMW. Thanks, RG.

Indeed.  I remember a young ShayP laying on the floor watching her Isis show.  Scooting around the plush carpet causing friction and getting feelings at an age where one is too young to really understand why.  :D

Ah, Dynamite magazine.  I wish I still had some copies.  Well, I guess I'll have to spend some more money collecting nostalgic items.  There's a shop near me that's loaded with issues.

I need therapy.

Ms Cameron also starred as the female lead in my all-time favorite episode of Columbo, "Negative Reaction." She played the assistant to a high dollar photographer/murderer (Dick Van Dyke.)

The two funniest scenes I ever saw in Columbo both came from this episode.

I don't remember her or her series, I was in college with no TV when it aired.

Looks like she got the "Korean girl's surgery."

It was a weird show - Ark II.   Take a old fuselage - clean it up and put wheels on it and then rock around in it doing good, with a beardo, an asian chick and hispanic kid and an ape.  Gotta have an ape.
