Glad Micky is still alive.  I've always liked the guy, and the Monkees in general.

Micky needed lyric sheets for the last year. I fear Alzheimer's might have taken hold.

I knew a few from their long time backing band and some more recent editions... In the last few years, it got toxic...

During a hardcore nonstop stupid mindless manual labor in early 80s,  me and this guy named Sikorsky spoke of a MONKEES resurgence. Sikorsky was a big guy. Large voice.

Unloading semi tractor trailers using TWO WHEELERS / dollies - because the fucked up company "didn't do pallet jacks" - we were always talking to pass the time...

Suddenly, Sikorsky might roar, echoing in a near empty trailer:

ARE
YOU
R E A D Y
FOR
M O N  -  K E E
M   E   T   A   L?!?!?!

HAHAHAHA
Stupid job. Fun people.

A middle-aged woman wearing her high school cheerleader outfit... 😁

Maybe intentional, maybe not considering today's news. Tony Basil was the choreographer for the Monkee feature film "Head."
Eh, nevermind...

https://apnews.com/article/entertainment-business-peter-tork-michael-nesmith-micky-dolenz-295ad7ec7fe69bbec9eaf0796b1232a0

Robert Michael Nesmith was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Houston, Texas, the only child of Warren and Bette Nesmith.

His parents divorced when he was 4 and his mother often worked two jobs, as a secretary and painter, to support her son and herself. It was that latter job that inspired her to whip up a typewriter correction fluid called Liquid Paper in her kitchen blender. By the mid-1970s it had made her a fortune, which she eventually left to her son and to nonprofit foundations she endowed to promote women in business and the arts.

It's been said a million times before, the influencers of entertainment going back 40 to 50 years ago are all hitting their seventies and eighties and dying.

One of my semi-famous neighbors spoke quite candidly that all of their smoking and drug use is coming to get them. (He was a lifelong friend of somebody semi-famous who just died of cancer at age 70.)

And Keith Richards will outlive them all...
Eh, nevermind...
