Back in the 90s, I literally almost ran into him at LAX.  I called him "Mr Belafonte."  He didn't look amused.

Doh!

Because of the racial factor, it probably would have been bad to even pull up a "You're a lot taller than I thought. What a pleasure to meet you, Sammy Davis Jr!" 😁😁😁
Eh, nevermind...

Dwayne 'Dobie' Hickman has died at the age of 87.

Coincidentally, Dwayne Hickman passed away today Jan 9.
Jan 9 is also Bob Denver's birthday.
They both starred in the Dobie Gillis TV show...

There has been an update in the Tyger Booty case.  As you may recall, Ms. Booty flew alone to Ghana to provide "services" to a shadowy billionaire but turned up mysteriously dead in a hotel room.  A guy known as Big Slim plus four accomplices have been arrested but are out on bail. Apparently Big Slim paid for Ms. Booty's autopsy and hotel bill so the bail request was granted.

Ms. Booty's family smells a rat but it would seem that their options are limited. You hate to see it - while she certainly wasn't going to be playing at Carnegie Hall, she did have talent in her own way.

Chatsworth (Steve Franken) was in the movie Westworld.  He played a part where he was a member of the resort's support team.  He was out in the middle of the desert, changing a flat tire on his motorized cart when he was plugged through the back by robot gunman Yul Brynner.
