I remember at one of the Cons, a heated discussion re:  Roddenberry hiring Nichelle Nicholls because he was into smoked meat and big tits.

Speaking of smoked meat, the pig heart transplant man , David Bennett, died on Mar 9.

Never googled it, but heard he was a criminal or asshole or something along those lines... Did they do this China-style and "volunteer him?"

Criminal asshole who served time for physically attacking someone and permanently paralyzing the victim.

Doctors downplayed his past, and up to the end said he was a "noble patient."

This statement reflects their high level of psychopathy.

(But, as pointed out more than once on the Dr. Dutton/Bruce Dickinson Psycho Schizo Espresso podcast, a high level of  psychopath is often the best surgeon.)

He was boinking her before ST, she was in an episode of his previous series, "The Lieutenant."  She shows up at about the 9:25 mark.  Interestingly, this episode never aired as part of the series because NBC executives felt its heavy racial overtones were too controversial for 1963.

Racial overtones?  In The Corps?  I saw a bit.  But it's funny, when shit goes sideways, so does that racial shit.  For the most part.

I don't know how authentic it is, but one of my all-time favorite lines was when Hartman says something like, "There is no racial prejudice here. You are all equally worthless in my eyes."  Priceless.

How would you like to be the guy that paid $500k for Brady’s last TD touchdown ball the day before?

I'd rather be the guy who SOLD Brady's "last touchdown" ball the day before he un-retired.
