Angel has died. I think it was his brother that was the director or producer of Love American Style. I saw him in something more recent, can't place it but he was unrecognizable with weight changes and no beard or something.

My favorite role he played was that of Philo Sandeen in the early 80s "Maverick" reboot, "Bret Maverick."  He was basically the same shady character as Angel, but with an Indian backstory. He was a hoot.

He'd take stupid questions and answer them seriously.  I'm sure the press would compete for the best question to get him going.
