...the clock is ticking...

This is disturbing. At 11:30 PM, I clicked on this topic, to see what you posted.

I have the television's sound down. It is on COMET, an X-Files  episode.

Before I could read your comment, I looked up and a giraffe is on the screen...it is an advertisement tease for the drama series 9-1-1. Some kind of zoo emergency.

I can't believe it.

Um, from the looks of that paper giraffe sighting will be on the decline. Bad n' sad news.

Have you noticed the one in the video ad for Dial soap on their YouTube channel?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c75knWrNsO8&t=22s

I couldn't embed it and get it to start at 22 sec, so I linked it instead.  I could embed it, but it would ignore the start time.

Excellent. I watched the whole thing. I liked that they queued the giraffe when they mentioned different family members.

I did not like the guy scrying the stomach. Too creepy vibed. But that's just me. Hahaha

I agree. I didn't know the number was that high. I hope they are over estimating/guessing. But they probably have the correct data.

This happened just now. Page 66 of Gwendy's Button Box by Stephen King and Richard Chizmar.

The fact I was expecting it to happen doesn't make it any less surreal.

Am I starting to wonder if we are in a lazily written program?

Maybe.

"What a trip," as my freakier friends used to say.

The chocolate treats continue to come, no two ever the same,
the detail always amazing. The tiny slice of heaven Gwendy devoured
just this morning before school was a giraffe, and she purposely
skipped brushing her teeth afterward. She wanted to savor the
remarkable taste as long as she could .

At just after 8 PM while flipping channels, someone on The Connors was holding a giraffe illustration with a magnetic backing. She stuck it on the fridge and said it was to measure a growing child's height.

I don't watch the show.

I just happened to flip to it at the correct time.

I have free will
I have free will
I have free will
I have giraffes

Danger, Will Robinson!  You’re treading dangerously close to Dave Norway country, from which there may be no return.  Before you know it, Tommee will be chauffeuring you everywhere.

“I see elevens everywhere!”

Heh heh

My working vacation will reground me.

I depart Friday, but will be tuning into the Friday show while on the road to see how Mr. Anderson handles George.

But will count giraffes nonetheless! Truckstops and tourist traps are crawling with giraffes!

The Dial soap ad was OK, but the one I was really looking for was the one for Gulf oil and their trip planning service.  Gulf (and probably other gas station chains) used to do like AAA and plan a driving route for you.  I think this ad was from the 1960s, may have been part of their sponsorship of manned space shot coverage, but it illustrated how they could take special circumstances into account in planning your route, by showing a giraffe ostensibly being transported on a flatbed and not knowing to duck under overpasses, so it needed high clearance.  It included a drawbridge being opened for the giraffe to pass.

I wanted to make sure the Dial soap would start at the giraffe not only for your convenience, but also because otherwise it might've violated a ban here: It opened and closed with a group of children in a mass of suds, to show off soap.

Also in the 1960s (maybe 1950s too) was Giraffe brand bread and its TV commercial.  Search for that, I just get a bunch of videos for making giraffe-appearing bread.  But also this:
