For me it was the fact that everytime I have driven through West Virginia and looked down into a valley, I have seen exactly that scene. Except well everything is 100 years older and more crusty.
Exactly @Walks_At_Night

NASA has a facility in Fairmont. I had the pleasure of working there on and off for several years. The picture screams West Virginia.

WV is the only place I saw (frequently) people in the electric carts hooked up to an oxygen bottle waiting in the tobacco line at Walmart to buy a carton of Winstons.
Me TOO.
I have driven through West Virginia a few times.

Well, that answers that.  Thank you all!  I'm always interested in what makes you panel members go for certain answers.

Yikes
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

Juan picked the one company that I made up.  The Livingston part of the name came from Bob Livingston, an actor in early western movies, and Stone, well, like a grinding stone, just to keep the grinder theme going.

I half expected it to be a model train set. In a museum. That water tower has that miniature look, as do the buildings.

Oh, they certainly do.  And the trees and bushes, made out of painted sticks and cotton.
