Japanese Kerria usually blooms in the spring they say.

These ones are showing now in the fall.

This Italian Roaster plant has a half dozen good sized (4 inch by 2 1/2 inch) peppers that are turning red and they will soon be harvested.  Regular Italian Roaster peppers are somewhat long and thin, so this plant was most likely labeled wrong. It's probably a Giant Italian Roaster plant.

Here are a couple Sriracha peppers.  They are listed as being hot peppers, but only medium spicy.  Not sure when the first frost will occur, but there might be time for these fellows to turn red.  There are six other Sriracha peppers on the plant.

I wanted to grow a Sweet Potato.  What I got was apparently the heart ripped out of a Buffalo.

I made quince cobbler this year, finally figured out how to cook them pink (roast low-temp in the oven)  :)

Finally, a welcome appreciation for this medieval cuisine. The ruby red quality that comes from the baking has always seemed a magical process. We pick them as well as a potpourri for their citruslike scent.

Was out in the garden awhile back when I spotted this thing gazing down at me.  And at noontime, too.

This photo shows a potted olive tree on the right, and a Pineapple Sage plant in the middle.  The sage was a small potted plant, set off by itself at the nursery.  It spoke to me, so I bought it and placed it in a big planter that used to be a laundry sink in the utility room.  Man, that thing grew like gangbusters.  Rubbing the leaves will give off a nice pineapple scent, but beyond that, I didn't research the plant until earlier today.  Turns out that the leaves are edible in salads and they also make a nice tea when combined with hot water in a cup.  It's a toss of the dice if it will survive approaching winter, but I'll cut it back after the first frost, mulch it, and see if it returns next spring.

Out of all the peppers planted, this habanero hot pepper plant did the best.  I'm protecting it from frost damage. They taste great, nice and hot.  I like to add them to bowls of chili but I have to slice them up good.  Too big a chunk and I get the hiccups.

This golden-leaved oak tree was bequeathed by a magickal squirrel long ago. I had always imagined years prior that that would be an ideal place for a tree of some kind.
