It's a Beautiful Day - Share memories of one of your best days
« on: October 14, 2018, 06:35:58 PM »

One of my best memories was during a Hawaiian vacation. On the North Shore of Kauai. Drove our little rental jeep to Ha'ena State Park. Hiked the first part of the Kalalau Trail to Hanakapiai Falls. On our return swam in the lagoon and lazed on Ke'e Beach. Dinner was at Hanalei Bay in a restaurant with a roof but no walls. Had a table with a beautiful sunset view. As it got dark the rain started drumming on the roof while a solo guitarist played. One of those perfect days one can never forget

How about sharing one of your memorable days?

Picture it - Cannes, 1997ish.
A young Bart is at the bar at the Hotel Majestic.
The older guy beside me starts talking to me.
He says he has been stuck in the hotel all day and is going stir crazy.
He asks if I know any good pizza restaurants.
I said I do.
He asks if I had a car.
I said I do.
He looks at me and says, "You wanna go have pizza with me?"
I knew I could beat his old ass if he tried anything so I said yes.
I was hungry.
As we get up he stops and says, "By the way, my name is Bobby"
Then it hit me.
This was Robert De Niro.
I was going on a straight date with Robert De Niro.
This is how I ended up on the editing room floor of a movie called Ronin (I may be in a DVD deleted scene, never checked)

What made this one of the best days?
Free pizza.

That Art creation should only be used on frozen pizzas.

I woke up one morning and my knee did not hurt. Lasted about half a day.
Merry Christmas

Thank you for sharing this. You painted a beautiful picture with your words. I will try and think of one of my own now.
