I've just learned that Krystal Burger is coming to NC in the summer of 2024!  Now Krystal isn't White Castle and of course no fast food joint can match the awesomeness of entering the White Castle on Eight Mile and Gratiot in Detroit at 2:30AM but it is about the best that is gonna happen in the South.

It would be like an hour drive. Should I make a run on grand opening day and crush a tray or two?

I spent some time in Georgia last year and had breakfast from Krystal a few times.
I would drive 50 minutes for it but not an hour.
I guess the answer is yes but drive faster.

This year the Detroit Tigers have started a ritual where a batter that hits a home run, receives a spear with three fake pizzas on it and prances around the dug out. It might be the silliest thing ever. Is this why the Tigers have hit so few homers this year?

There are those that believe that it is a time honored tradition...deep seated in the history of the team, city and its people. Then there are those that feel it is just some idiot swinging a dead, slimy, smelly, cephlopod in an example of modern day barbarism. I know which camp that I am in.

What they need to find is an animal carcass with 16 arms and legs, the number of wins it now takes to win the Cup - 8 won't cut it anymore.

Aha! So you are solidly in camp one now. That is good. Very good. Tons of Greeks in Detroit and of course Greeks love Octopus. Thus it is readily available in one of the shops in the Eastern Market district of the city. Change Martha to say Melania and you've got it nailed buddy.
