I have to ask @Dyna-X - which one?

Back in the day Gunther Toodys (believe they're still around) used to have respectable wet fries.

Looks like they added the green chile cheese version since I've last been there:

https://gunthertoodys.com/menu/

Green Chili Fries
A platter of fries topped with our homemade seasoned pork green chili, grated Cheddar, fresh jalapeños and grilled onions.
Elvis Fries
The King’s favorite fries, smothered in sausage gravy & Cheddar cheese.

Brewery Bar's 2 locations did greeen chile cheese fries well.

Enjoy! :P

You likely don't have this problem...but the last time I ate there the waitress sat in my lap to take my order...the better half only blushed half as red as I did... :-\

Good food though, great jukebox tunes.

The wet fries with sausage gravy are perfect when it's really cold.

Wow! The wait staff usually is pretty docile. (Think More or less what you would expect at Perkins or IHOP but with a Doo Wop flair.) I think I embarrassed on waitress when I told her "You know, I don't think your name is really Flo, I think your real name is Greta or Ima. Question is Ima What?  :D"

Are they not still doing the whole gum-chewing, wisecracking diner lounge act any more?

Ima gettin' old, lol! ;D

We had a waiter that thought he was the master of crack-up. The trick was to beat him to his own punchlines and twist things up a bit. After he realized he wasn't going to win against me and my Aunt, he brought us extra fries and joined us for dinner as he was just getting off his shift. Fun times.
