Ian under attack from the Sad Pack tonight. First Annie from Alabamy gets on air babbling about .......... socks ... she's looking for some kind of socks but who knows what kind because she's just babbling, she warns people about sock scammers on eBay, Ian' s amused by it and tries to find out what kind of socks she needs, Annie denies she has edema, then tries to turn open lines into a tradio show and offers Ian and listeners Christmas tree seeds/seedlings in exchange for the socks she wants.
Annie is immediately followed by Walt da Atheist who is winding up for one of his blowhard rants - Ian knows Walt's game and stops Walt, calling him a liar and a Trojan Horse caller. Walt knows Ian doesn't want politics on the show so Walt lied to the call screener Donna telling her he wanted to ask Ian about being a talk radio host vs college professor then switching topics to his politics when he gets on the air - Ian fairly good naturedly scolds Walt, Walt of course is a boor and a loser and continues to try to get in whatever he wanted to pontificate about. Donna confirms that she had warned Walt da Atheist to stick to the topic he gave her because this is a regular thing with him lying to call screeners.
