Christopher Walken played Whitley Streiber in a movie. I think it was a TV movie in the 80s. Streiber didn't care for the portrayal--said it was too crazy. Reportedly, Walken said "if the shoe fits."

Who is Richard Strieber? Associate producer sounds like a points thing...  If the movie's a hit, they get a cut.  No wonder Whitley was disappointed.

my favorite Whitley Streiber story is of him at a paranormal conference taking flight inside a hotel, floating down from the ceiling finding himself standing over Linda Moulton Howe asleep in bed, she awakened and was startled and angry - Whitley disappointed he wasn't going to get any kooky old lady nookie floated out the hotel room window into the night darkness.

I heard pert of the Uri Geller interview the other night.  Thomas from La Jolla called in and told Uri that his voice was great (paraphrasing) and said repeatedly that it made him feel a sense of gratefulness, other emotions, blah, blah, blah.  Like it it was some sense of empowerment.  If I have to hear Uri Geller on the radio in order to feel good and inspire me, I would just kill myself.
