he is such a dillhole. his first guest is a British historian who's written a book about the Afghan War. he had to work in his stupid story about just missing out on being called up to serve under General Schwartzkopf, of course he left out that he was a public affairs desk jockey - completely irrelevant to the interview and the guest treated it appropriately by completely ignoring it, the usual awkward silence when a guest is left speechless by his idiotic ways.

I heard that segment.  What made it worse is Noory interrupted the guest saying that they had to go to break, but he had time to tell his stupid Navy story and only then go to break.

Odd though, if he didn't test well, maybe colleges had reason to suspect that the school was letting him pass without merit... or he had aspirations of a top college...

A normal family would be mourning the loss of a family member, a loved one.  Unfortunately, too many families would see this as a loss of future income from an athlete...

Right on cue, here is Mike the Millenial calling in saying the guest's subject is interesting to him as "a younger person"

Disappointing.  Mike2000 didn't even stay on topic, instead bringing up an earlier novel by the guest. But he did get to tell us, as Morgus said, he is a younger person. Yet again. 

I somehow expected more from his younger, brilliant, flexible mind.
