One of Richard's technical gurus got him hooked up with the internet so that he, Richard, could comment on his Mars pictures.  Only things were still scrambled on Richards computer because the numbers for all 8 of his pictures had moved around, so that when Richard said, "Now if we go to picture number three, that shows the Mars hovercraft."  George had to interrupt him and say, "You mean picture number five, right Richard?"  That was funny, but they managed to talk about all of the pictures, with just a scant ten minutes to take about three calls from listeners.  During one of the calls, Richard said something like, "I really don't have the time to give a lengthy answer, but I will when you have me back on again, George."  Richard more or less invited his own self back onto George's show.  Not sure how George took it, but he didn't say anything about Richard coming back onto the show.

Of course Richard invited himself back.  He's the kind of guy that if you invited him over to your house just once for a Sunday dinner, he'd say, "Well I guess I'll see you next Sunday then."

I wonder why after all these years Noory had him back on.  I can't remember the falling out between the two but it was before Hoagie started his own show, so I'm guessing 7 or 8 years.

shit i forgot Hoagie was making his Coast comeback.  i listen to his show on the weekends sometimes, such a character, he's the grand dame of pseudo-science, nobody does it better. consummate conman, literally conned his way into a gig as a 'space expert' for Walter Cronkite and CBS News.  Stalking Carl Sagan.  All with nothing more than a high school degree and not sure he even completed high school.

Right, the falling out happened back in 2015 during the Pluto flyby.  Wasn't that why Richard wanted to take over George's show for eight or nine hours, to cover the flyby?  Not sure, but I do remember some of us commenting on the Pluto pictures on BellGab, most likely during Art's show.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, when George introduced Richard last night, he read the exact same bio of Richard that Art used to read.  Cronkite, Sagan, winner of the Angstrom Award, etc.  I think that it was slightly embellished here and there, to cover for all of the lost years.

All I know is him starting The Other Side of Midnight created the best thread on BellGab.  That's my opinion of course.

RCH's enthusiasm is appreciated and entertaining to me. He's an idiot about the child porn on a government computer thing, but he's a captivating speaker.

Eh, nevermind...

I agree.  We had lots of fun.  Hoagie was unpredictable, how every once in awhile he'd enter into Dick Cavett mode, as we used to call it.

For anyone still wanting to catch the Hoaxster, without being a Coast Insider, KLVI out of Beaumont, TX will replay the last 3 hours of last night’s show at 9:00 to Midnight, CST.  Thus, Hoagland will be on 10:00PM to Midnight, CST, tonight.

Yes 7 years - several of the callers commented how they had been waiting a long 7 years for Hoagie to return.
Noory also said he had been waiting for those 7 years, so maybe it was Hoagie who wouldn't come back - holding a grudge with Noory until now?

Interestingly at the end of the show Noory let Hoagie plug his weekend streaming audio show The Other Side of midnight.
And Hoagie mentioned it airs from 9pm-12am PT Sat and Sun nights - that competes directly with the first two hours of c2cam those nights - so was Noory not concerned listeners would switch to Hoagie instead?  8)
