I was taking about George using it.  If he has, I don't remember.

Some of George's bumper music is really good. Rush, Zappa, Winter.

I still hear Abba occasionally, I just don't know if it's him or the guest hosts.
Eh, nevermind...

Those are not chosen by Noory.
You can tell if its a Noory pick if its Frank Sinatra, Pat Boone, etc.

Last night during open lines Noory let thru a new caller for once after a bunch of the regulars.
This caller was happy and told about he just got engaged.
Noory immediately asked where they first met and the caller said "at a strip club"
Noory's voice changed quickly and I bet off line he yelled at Tommy to stick with the safe regulars like Millennial Mike and Cornelius!
Yet he had no issue flirting with the married host on Playboy Radio, where he had regular appearances.  Hypocrite.

Bad bumper music already.  Well, that made for another short night.  Thanks, Snorway.  I feel like a free woman.

Here’s last night’s list.

Midnight Express (The Chase)
Giorgio Moroder

Caribbean Breeze
The Rippington

Cathy’s Clown
Everly Brothers

Swan Lake
Blackalicious

Light My Fire
The Doors

Catalina
Cusco

Venus
Frankie Avalon

Frankenstein
Edgar Winter

I’d Love To Change The World
Ten Years After

Modern Crusaders
Enigma

We’ve Only Just Begun
The Carpenters

Fanfare For The Common Man
Emerson Lake & Palmer

Owner Of A Lonely Heart
Yes

TNT For The Brain
Enigma

Bridge Over Troubled Water
Simon & Garfunkel

Inca Dance
Cusco

I agree with Morgus.  Like most things with the show, I doubt Noory even knows or cares what the bumpers are, most of the time.  Even an oldie, like last night’s Venus by Frankie Avalon, may have just been thrown in as “tribute” by Tommee to Jorch.

OMG!  They played that misogynistic Carpenter’s song last night!  It SO stereotypically places a poor woman in some supplicant position to a male, like Noory!  How dare she sing about such a travesty!

the best thing about Coast is the bumper music and yeah you can bet that Noory has absolutely nothing to do with selecting anything.

i never knew any Perry Como music, could not name a song of his even though as a 70s kid i knew there was a Perry Como the same way I knew there was a Ray Connif Singers but that recurring SCTV impression of Perry Como that Eugene Levy did is even more hilarious now that I hear real Como songs. So low energy, so square, so Noory.

Those were the kind of singers Noory would imitate growing up in the 50s and early 60s watching their TV shows.
He is still doing that to this day at his live events...  :o

I wonder if he would be happier going to Branson and becoming a lounge singer?

Probably too much work for Dave.  Unless they let him sleepwalk through most of his performances and skip out early for the Friday shows, and play a recitation of Poe to close.

I remember watching Como's TV show as a youngster, he and Ray Charles were my Mom's two favorite singers.  I also remember reading Como had the second longest running variety show in US TV history, bested only by Ed Sullivan.

Andy Williams still beat him in the "wife who murdered somebody" category.

Technically Andy's ex-wife at the time, she was a babe.  The running joke then was she was the only person ever to go to jail for killing a Spider.
