I had to turn it off last night, it's just so sad to listen to Noory try to carry out an interview with an intelligent guest, sometimes I actually feel some sympathy for him. He's been put in a position he's not qualified for.
The guest was a legitimate PhD physicist who works for Fermi Labs, the Large Hadron Collider research etc - an exceptionally smart man being interviewed by an exceptionally stupid man, hilarity ensues. I knew the fucking 'Big Bang' question was coming which it did, the guest tried his best to answer the childlike interviewer's questions and musings but it's pointless. Like all physicists he told Noory that we don't know what preceded the Big Bang but that's why we continue to do research. Noory of course because he's a moron asks him if we can't know then it must be God. Then further embarrassed himself to a fucking Fermi Lab physicist with his 'intelligent design' argument which includes 'it's incredible, everything works out, we have 2 eyes to see, 2 ears to hear, a nose to breathe, a mouth to eat'. Then while the physicist is trying to reply to that idiocy Noory brings up the James Webb telescope as if he's telling a fucking physicist something he might not know 'It's incredible. This telescope can see a star that is trillions of miles away.' Poor guest was kind of speechless, they were discussing something completely unrelated and Noory desperately trying to sound intelligent just shits out the telescope news.
He shouldn't have guests on who have legitimate credentials in legitimate fields of study - he can interview crackpots like Whitley Strieber and the endless parade of charlatan psychics and mediums and 'mmhmmm' himself through the interviews, agreeing with whatever crap flies out of their mouths but with a legitimate expert he's not content to just 'mmhmm', he has to try to prove he's more than the dope who interviews nutjobs and con artists on a nightly basis.
