It might be as simple as MV says, but he also always said, "Be careful what you post on Bellgab, I'm going to pay to keep it running forever."  Makes me think there's another layer or he's afraid someone will come after him if Heather gets trouble from it irl.  I have nothing sensitive there but I get people's concerns, and it would probably be best to factory reset the fucker (or the forum equivalent) before selling the domain.

I can understand that 10 years plus is a long time, but it was a poor show to do it with so little warning, not really fair to regular users. I used to explain such actions to non community minded online people by saying that sudden change (or termination of a service) can be a bit like rearranging someone’s lounge without warning or permission.

It was his sandbox, and we all played in it, but there was an awful lot of connections built up. I hope Keith or a group of users can do something to bring it back and let it continue. Either here or in it’s original form.

There’s a good core group, it’s a good resource for enquiring minds and it’s definitely good for MITD imo.
