Spanos will screw it up.  Spanos doesn't want to win. Winning costs more money for players. He's a cheap ass.

He only screwed the taxpayers on the ticket guarantee out of funds that would have made their way to more pressing social issues.

Not by the govt - that would be a disaster - by the fans.  Mostly by the season ticket holders, with some shares set aside for other local fans.

Green Bay has done pretty well with it, and they are the one small city that hasn't lost their team over the years.

The players have a union, more like a co-op for the owners.

PS, co-ops are a terrific way to organize a business, we have a number of successful ones around here.  My favorite is the Cheese Board, with their cheeses and breads
