June 16, 1994 per the coast website.
Art was all excited about how great live radio was to be able to cover such a story. It was during open lines and I did not hear a single member of the Sad Pack.
Ok. Yes, I have it. Reading up I see you got your answer.  :-\

U7 is playing G2G 2005 right now. If you have access to it, it's a good one. Ramona would pass months later on January 5 06. G2G 98 was also a standout.

Begins with the full version of The Chase. I had no idea that these guys ever talk to the listeners.

Been enjoying classics every morning now in the place of live local radio for morning coffee. 97, 98, 99, and 2000 are definitely the pinnacle years. What a run. Some would argue that 1996 needs to be in there too but that would be incorrect. 96 was really good, but not great like those years already listed.

I submit to you that 1996 was.. foreplay.  And then.. we were penetrated.  Too much?

I thought I had heard every Art Bell show that has been streamed on either Somewhere In Time or tunein at one time or another. Late last night they played an interview from February 21, 2002 with Eric Burdon. I don’t remember that one at all. Lots of discussions about Jimi Hendrix. I drifted in and out but the callers I heard seemed to be above average. I’d say one of Art’s better interviews.

Because of his love for music, I think most of Art's interviews with musicians and artists in general were really enjoyable. Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson come to mind. George Carlin - a musician in his own way, perhaps.

I agree @KSM those are some of my favorites. There was a replay of Chris Carter from 99 that was pretty good too.

I heard that one live while at work.  I can recall that Eric was living at Joshua Tree, California and he was pushing a book that he had written in which he claimed to have inside information on the death of Jimi Hendrix.  Art tried his best to get more info on it but Eric wouldn't budge.  Sorry, you've got to buy the book.

Was anything better, though, than JC calling in to Willie Nelson?
Merry Christmas
