Yesterday U7 radio aired a show from I believe 5/27/1994.  Art raging against the gun grab response to some shootings was one of the takeaways.  Anyway, Doc called in and offered a weak but hopeful defense of future prisoner Dan Rostenkowski, a Democratic House member from Illinois who probably did get the shaft.  Later in the call Doc asked if Art had heard about (game show host) Bob Barker and his affair with co-worker Diane Parkinson.  Diane had accused Ol' Bob of sexual harassment, and Doc finally got around to what was probably his main purpose for calling.  He said Diane would settle out of court if "the price is right".  Art totally missed the joke.

Hahaha.  When liberals had a sense of humor.

@Dateline Blair, From Sedona. That sound right?  Yeah he wasn't too bad.

That's him, "Blair, from Sedona".  Does he still call in, or is he even calling in from anywhere?

To the best of my memory he called in during the heydays of the 90's and that's all. It's like all the main callers that frequented 95-99 dropped off when the show became 'too big'?

I don't know. Curious.

Quittenings happen.

There's a lot of stuff I used to watch a lot and then, one mistake or one week off and I never go back. Maybe that's what happened to AB 2000 and on.
Eh, nevermind...

Maybe..   :-\

Maybe it was like (90's) when you like a band that not many people know about and all the sudden, they become a household name and it ruins it for you. The show was officially HUGE by 2000, but before that it was more like a secret in the night. A club to belong to. i dunno..

Listened to G2G 97 yesterday and a caller who refers to herself as "Lady" from Alaska called in. She's a tad 'off'  However, she has spanned several years from 97 well into the 2000's.

Man she's weird.

Right now on Art Bell's Somewhere in Time broadcast from 1997, I recognize the caller - its "Steve" and here he is claiming to be both a Man in Black and a Time Traveler!
Art is holding him on over the break, so he is getting lots of time here.

AHH! I know that show. You're right! Strong southern accent Steve, correct? He does pretty good for a while but seems to IMO unravel as the extra minutes roll on..

Like there would be an actual MIB named Steve::)

Yeah.. 'Steve' the MIB sounded pretty cocky as well in his laid-back-ness as he slid downhill. He should have asked a few other MIB's (Al, Greg and Ron) to join him for the show.

Best MIB show Art did was with Jim keith, UFO investigator who met a very untimely death. The guy was a real pitbull in his investigations. Maybe got himself killed for it..

@Uncle Duke Looks like that may have been the (controversial ?) case.

That's pretty much the back story I recall on his death. If he's the same guy I remember listening to, he struck me as a hard ass (or at least wannabe hard ass) Steve Quayle type.
