Wooden crates?

The crates were strange.  They were made out of thinly cut squares of wood that were held together by wires.  Once they were empty, you simply stepped on them and they would squash up nice and thin for easy disposal.  I was unloading plants from them, so the plant company must have got the crates after they had been used by the fruit and vegetable packers.

No, due to my color blindness, I didn't notice it at first.  Thanks for pointing it out.

I didn't know you were color blind. Can you see purple? I hope so.

Yes, but if it is in conjunction with black, then it would be drowned out, and would appear black.  Same with the colors red and brown.  If a car had a black top and a red, or purple, or brown bottom half, then I would see the car as being black, but only from a distance.  Close up, I can actually see the correct colors.  Same with traffic lights.  I can see the red light OK, but not if the sun is shining directly upon it.  Then I've got to wait for somebody to honk at me, so that I know when to proceed.  Ha, so I'm a fun person to be stuck behind at a traffic light, but only if the sun is shining on it.

Policeman approaches me.  "Excuse me sir, but did you see any autos pass by on that road, off in the distance?  There was a bank robbery a couple of minutes ago and we're trying to get a make on the getaway car."

Me:  "As a matter of fact, yes, I did see a car speeding along that road a few minutes ago.  It was totally black, I remember that much  about it."

Policeman:  "Thank you sir, this will be a great help to us."

Me:  "Very glad to help, officer."

How do you know there are such colors as purple, red and brown? Maybe it’s all a plot.

Growing up on the east coast I still find it strange to see lemons on the trees when I walk the dog. They look like limes until they don't. Unless that tree is a lime tree....hmmm!
