Is a cigar shaped ufo just a saucer shape from the side or is it shaped like an actual cigar or cylinder? My dad and I once saw what looked to be a slow flying boxcar over the tree line about 800 ft away. Clear sunny day and that thing just glided until I could no longer make any shape of it at all. My dad being blind in one eye and strained in the other didn't see it, as long as I did but he saw it nonetheless. Weirdest thing, we discussed what we saw for about 30 seconds and went back to talking about building his back deck. Still think about it all the time

Last evening at work, through dark windows in a rural area, I saw low-flying red lights (one after another, 3 or 4). Considering how low they were flying, they were going very fast. If they were planes, I saw no headlights and they flew too fast. In the moment it took to realize their speed was too fast for their height, they all were gone. They were going horizontally, not down. Going south.
There is an old bridge a little ways east of where they flew. They must have known it, but without headlights, geez, it would be risk not hitting the top of the bridge. Because they didn't look much higher than that. But, they must have known it was away to the east a little.

Fast Radio Bursts (FRB's) from distant galaxies. One thing to keep in mind is that any distant galaxy typically the size of a star and of course, fixed. If they were coming from any kind of spaceship we would expect them to move.
I'll stick with a fast spinning Neutron star at this point ;D

Now I can visualize the scene much better and know it was something anomalous and not even enough time to fully process what you were looking at or feel fear. Would probably take your breath away for a moment. The racing heart came later probably? Did you feel anything or sense anything in the aftermath?
When I had a sighting in 2015, one of the regrets I had is I didn't take the time to attempt to zone into how I felt about it. I was trying to take reference to the objects relation to the horizon, trying to make an estimate of the flashes per second, noting the times, fiddling with the camera and trying to take decent pictures. The eerie feelings and philosophical ponderings didn't set weren't until after it was all over with. It was like being in autopilot while it was happening and gathering the data like passing milestones. That in itself was a bit woo in that I am not a professional UFO investigator, but I knew the specifics they would be looking for.
The one thing to keep with you is knowing that is long as you live you won't forget it and nobody can take it away or tell you that you never saw what you saw.

I was once driving between Ottowa and Montreal and my wife shouts "hey look at those lights". We saw six bright balls of light moving in a row across the horizon. They then peeled off and went in different directions and then extinguished themselves. Never seen anything like it again.

His car drove along until the driver pulled to the side of the road.

During the Vietnam War he flew missions as a B-52 command pilot that involved round trip flights from Guam to Vietnam. During one of those missions he and his crew observed a disc shaped UFO which flew in close proximity to his A/C for some time before diving into the ocean in exactly the manner depicted in the below video clip and just as how I envisioned it in my minds eye as he described it. I have never doubted that he was faithfully describing a true event but this serves as strong validation of the accuracy and truthfulness of his recollection.

I have posted on this before but back in the mid-90s in a conversation I had with a retired Air Force officer, he described an event he experienced that rekindled an interest in UFOs that I acquired after personally observing a highly unusual albeit less dramatic event while serving in a fleet ballistic missile submarine in the late sixties. During the Vietnam War he flew missions as a B-52 command pilot that involved round trip flights from Guam to Vietnam. During one of those missions he and his crew observed a disc shaped UFO which flew in close proximity to his A/C for some time before diving into the ocean in exactly the manner depicted in the below video clip and just as how I envisioned it in my minds eye as he described it. I have never doubted that he was faithfully describing a true event but this serves as strong validation of the accuracy and truthfulness of his recollection.
A common story in the BUFF community. Seems like all of them were either on the plane themselves or knew someone on the plane. The B-52 Association is having a reunion here in Dayton in September, would be interesting to talk to the members about the story.

Walks my friend, you've made my day. This is hysterical. I've long wondered why no one had made a "Blair Witch" style video about a UFO incident. There are so many things wrong with the video it's ridiculous. "Swarms" of Feds? We saw one guy. The chopper shown wasn't even a military aircraft.
