I think we had a thread to recommend different podcasts but I didn't see one. Maybe I'm thinking of the Old Country. Anyway, I have a couple of podcasts to recommend

Wolf359  It completed a few years ago but still seems to be popular as people re-discover it. It's a science fiction comedy mystery. I started it a while ago but just recently picked it up again. And still really enjoying it. "Set on board the U.S.S. Hephaestus space station, the dysfunctional crew deals with daily life-or-death emergencies, while searching for signs of alien life and discovering there might be more to their mission than they thought." Each episode about a 1/2 hour

https://player.fm/series/wolf-359      and itunes , Google play etc

Here is an entertaining, interesting way to eat your vegetables

 "The Report" by Lawfare
The Mueller Report in a narrative serial format. "Over the coming dozen or so episodes, we will walk through the entire report, we hope in an engaging fashion that is at once thorough, true to the document, and genuinely engaging to listen to. The hope is that “The Report” will provide a way for folks who aren’t going to read the document itself to absorb its story."

The first episode covers the first part of the Report (logical. Good start) about Russian interference. 39 minutes

I would have sworn that it was here on Ellgab @TigerLily.    You had recommended some podcast on that thread that was was a real good listen.  About some repair crew crawling around caves in a frozen arctic area.   I liked it a lot.     Based on that I'll check out the first one you listed here.  The second one would be a big stretch for me - unless James Earl Jones or Gregory Peck were reading it, I can't imagine finding a legal brief interesting.

I like history and I was kind of tired of waiting for Dan Carlin.

I found “The History Chicks”. They aren’t too bad. Not as in-depth or captivating as Dan Carlin but not bad.

Carlin is excellent. But so intense. I got 2/3 of the way through WWI  then had to stop to de-traumatize. Maybe I will try the History Chicks after Wolf359. When I have the History bug I have been listening to The History of England by David Crowther. It's starts way way back. I'm finally to William the Conqueror, 1066. Very enjoyable

"This is my retelling of the story of England, in a regular, chronological podcast, from the end of Roman Britain, all the way through to the present day. I’m a bloke in a shed, so this is not a dry retelling of events; I make sure this is good, properly prepared history, but I fill it with my love and enthusiasm, and some of the things that make me laugh. You’ll find the great events and people for sure – but also some of the byways, of how people lived, their language, and the forces that shaped their lives and destinies."

That's what I thought, @Walks_At_Night  but didn't see it. Yes. That podcast is The White Vault. I'm glad you liked it. Very creepy and really well done production. Season Two is now completed but I haven't listened to it yet.

Atticus Finch as Bob Mueller? I think you're on to something. My best to Morg!

Thank you Annie, nobody ever checks it out on my recommendation alone. But you're sweet and normal so your vote helps! Thomas has been busy, I see there is some catching up to do on my part.

If he hasn't already done so, I hope he takes my suggestion and profiles https://www.serialkillers.ca/clifford-robert-olson-jr/. He was a very bad man. They always have those telling names too..  like they almost have no choice but to grow up to be a monster.

I'll check it out based solely on your recommendation, ya needy bastid.

Since Canadian serial killers is the topic-

I went to see this house a few years ago.
The agent didn't bother telling me the back story.
The comments should give it away....

I'm sick of dealing with humanoids - in fact, ellgab is my only human contact.  How about some recommendations for botany sites.
Merry Christmas

Jeepers.  Dude sounds like a bad Bella Lugosi impersonator.  Was gonna give Son of Sam a listen but I don't know........   Does he start sobbing and calling the listeners white trash pieces of shit?

How nice of you to say. He has been busy, his web site has all sorts of stuff now. I know what you mean, and somehow their photos fit their names perfectly.

I can't hack Bella - keep expecting the dude to drop "I vant to suck yer blud"

Here - if you want murder and mayhem, try Casefile.    The host is an Aussie, which isn't always the best accent to listen to but it can be done.

Start with the Silk Road episodes - interesting stuff:
