apparently a pakistani isp that was following a pakistani govt directive to block youtube mis-configured something and it propagated to the entire internet, blacking out youtube to much of the world .
MSNBC's fact checking on this might be off. That or Pakistan screwed up youtube twice in a little over a decade.
I had seen this before, but I thought the Pakistani related outage occurred in 2008 as it was on a Sunday: Feb. 24, 2008.
