Well, someday.  Peak summer, my least favorite time of year.  Hot.

But, Fall is coming.  On Tuesday, July 27, I saw the earliest Spirit Halloween store sign pop-up on the usually vacant building looking for a business.

Hope survives!

I got a friendly business email from someone whose signature line includes "(Pronouns: she/her/hers)"

My reply included "Pronouns: dude/guy/hey"

I wonder how that will be perceived now that I've sent it.

A Strange World with Andrew Saporito

Crazy, insane, out of his mind and totally bonkers – and those are his friends that say these things. I can only imagine what his family and enemies say. Who else classifies their family and enemies in the same category? Why not?

Andrew is 39 going on 90. Anyone that has spent anytime with him knows about all of his war injuries, the creaking, the moans and groans. The boy is falling apart and held together by duct tape. In his earlier years Andrew couldn’t decide what he wanted to be when he grew up so he studied everything that interested him even if it would lead him nowhere. Which is exactly where it usually lead him. Andrew is a writer by trade, photographer and a piss poor graphic artist but a graphic artist nonetheless. His later years found him concentrating on marketing, astrophotography and backyard astronomy. Why? because he wanted too. Andrew’s entire life has been centered around doing whatever the hell he wanted too and somehow it’s always worked out for him.

Andrew is VERY well traveled. It all started after his 4 years in the Marines. He got a taste for travel after being stationed in Japan with the Marines and hasn’t stopped ever since. The longest he has lived in one place was his lengthy stay in Los Angeles, California where he met his beautiful wife Becky Chung. They got married, bought their first house together in Pico Rivera, California and since then moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. Thank God the woman he finally settled down with was as daring as he was and had the travel bug in her. Andrew was tired of LA after spending almost 15 years there. He talked his wife into moving to Florida and the rest of history is currently being written…together.

I bet my friend doesn't notice the rude and bad drivers being born and raised in Ca

Well, when I was there, I was amazed at how rude people were. When I lived in Vegas, people from places like Illinois (noticeable by Illinois license plates, license plate frames and stickers) where the worst on the freeways. They had to delay the implementation of metered traffic at the on-ramps. These idiots didn't know that you had to wait for a green light to get on the freeway...

Iowa was actually nice. Ex-GF's family is there, I don't want to send mixed signals. Nice, utilities paid apartments for $650 a month in a nice area, eh, tempting. Maybe if a kid goes to U of Chicago for Masters...  Eh...

Iowa had a lot of rude and stupid though. No courtesy, bad drivers.

Shit.

Pahrump floods?

I was in Des Moines during some of that late 80s, early 90s flooding...  Didn't mind volunteering during the crisis, lots of appreciative support and it was challenging... I'm just not wanting to live in a place that floods in my fifties and beyond...

Back to Montana, South Dakota or a red state as a choice.

A friend of mine went to Iowa. What about Iowa?

Forever? I suspect not.
