Title: Mysterious Matters
Post by: Bob on July 10, 2018, 05:22:33 PM
I've never posted on BellGab but figured EllGab was a forum I could support.  My name is Bob Bain and I've been producing Mysterious Matters since 2014.  The show has grown from a small handful of listeners to well over 100,000 (regular downloads according to Libsyn stats) in addition to 11,000+ YouTube subscribers.

Earlier this year I quit after producing two interviews.
Unlike Heather, I actually endured death after death of family members (6 deaths in the past 6 years; including two suicides) and decided to give myself time to heal.  Coming in August I will be returning.

Below is a link to one of my last interviews.
It was with Michio Kaku.

https://mysteriousmatters.com/1374/dr-michio-kaku-future-humanity/

I'm not the best in the field.  But I continue trying to be better each year.

-Bob

You made a wise choice, Bob!

What was your favorite show that you have done?

Not sure I can say.  I've interviewed former Scientologists, Astronomer Bob Berman, and countless others.
For me, the most enjoyable shows have been the science-based ones; though I've enjoyed many Paranormal related discussions such as the three I've had with Bob Mitchell.  Depending on how caffeinated I am, my voice will either be dark (as John Hogue calls it) or a bit too high. HAHA

Hi Tootsie_wootsy!

Thanks for listening through the years.  It's always great to hear from those who listen (and enjoy listening) to the show.   I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming new interviews beginning in August!  I'll also be producing three shows a week in October.

Sorry to hear, and welcome back to radio activities.  Nice show.  Wow, Bob, what a voice  :).  Kaku emphasizes the importance of in-person social skills during Internet-saturated times.

Yes, you did post on Bellgab. You used to post shit and then delete it before your time to edit expired. I quoted you once. I am certain of this.

You are clearly mistaken as I've never posted on BellGab.  I ran a forum called DarkMatterXM.com and MidnightDesert.com and never had a reason to post on a competing forum.  However, if you want to start shit I'll be right there shoving it down your throat.

HAHA!
I'm a southerner and don't mind getting rowdy (as my many broken bones and dislocated jaw can attest).  But most times I tend to be relaxed with a glass of sweet tea.
It just takes an imbecile to run their mouth and it makes my fingers rage along.

I am very certain it was you. You made a snyde comment about Heather's show and I replied, "Big words for someone who names all his sites after Art Bell shows". It was you.

Now, how many times would another person be impersonating another on a place like BellGab?  Think.
If I had been there and done the things you said, trust me I would admit to it.  Or Perhaps I'm just going senile in my mid age! HAHA

I considered registering once to confront MV for calling my show shit. But figured I'd let the dog lie in his own bed and play with himself as much as he liked

Off topic but for any comic book readers The Immoral Hulk is one of the best comics that Marvel is producing right now. Especially if you like horror comics.

One last thing.  I never created a forum for Art Bell's shows (using similar domains) without his explicit permission.  He had 100% control over if it remained opened or if it closed.  This was something of a contention between Keith and myself until he verified with Art that I had been given permission from the man himself.   And why Keith thought MidnightDesert.com should become the sanctioned forum for Art's MITD  (Art was fine with that but felt BellGab should also be a sanctioned forum).

I am sorry you believe I was an ass over there (when I never registered), and for being somewhat an ass here, but when people put out false information it deserves to be torn down with the truth.

Hell, I don't even know who Star is but there was one asshole from BellGab that went around at night posting nude Casio pictures all over the place. That was a headache to clean up and took a long time to burn from my brain!

I don't have the IPs, but the Bob Bain there was good at the game. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't quoted a post. He must have cared about your reputation.

Why the large text?

I'm old? I like large text?
Take your pick.

I prefer the Georgia font in a size 12.

It was truly an image I never wanted to see.
As someone who had a daughter (6 years old at the time) that was sexually abused by her mother's husband... I wish all child predators would be castrated and forced to wear a tattoo stating they are child predators.  Hannah killed herself because of that (among other reasons) at the age of 20.   Her mother did the same thing just two years later.

The BPHS2 broadcast headset release has been rescheduled for August, and since I'm returning in August I needed to make a quick adjustment.  I've purchased an Electro-Voice handheld mic (to go along with a Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII interface) and while I'll be making a few adjustments (and get used to a handheld)... here is a small test of the pure audio.

http://traffic.libsyn.com/bobbain/BobBainND96_01.mp3

In addition to the above, here is a list of microphones I have used since 2014 (from best to worst):

Neumann TLM102 (tiny but huge sound!)
Shure KSM32
Shure SM7B
Electro-Voice RE320
Rode Podcaster (the first one I used)

I look forward to listening to your Kaku show today.

I may be mistaken but not a lot of people in this field gets an opportunity to sit down one on one with Michio Kaku.  He's pretty picky about what shows he appears on/who interviews him.  I believe I'm only one of four people –– in our field-- to interview professor Kaku, to date.

Art Bell
George Noory
Dave Schrader
Bob Bain (Yours truly)

But to be honest I was already on the verge of not returning when this interview occurred in February.
Michio was the one guest I've been working toward, and when his publicist approached me about him appearing on Mysterious Matters--I jumped on that opportunity; even if my heart wasn't entirely involved.

I'm considering a video edition of the show now that I've lost 20 pounds (still losing) but I also don't want to make anybody's eyeballs pop out of their head, screaming out of pure horror either. HAHA
