I Live In A Yurt & Other Timelines
« on: September 26, 2019, 10:27:40 PM »
in one of my other timelines...

i live in a Yurt a bit more complex than this one in the same region.
mine has a separate greenhouse for rotating the plants in the Yurt seasonally.
a solar powered & passive radiant collector system provides for heated plant beds and........
actually, the reason for having the greenhouse is that i like to play in the dirt.

speaking of play...

i really like the bedroom/loft.
mine has special modifications.  ;)
i kept the same ladder access... ladies first. HA!
no really, i'm kidding.
i turned the space into a dohyō (yer smart. look it up.).

the living space is an aerobics studio.
lots of padding for the match losers in the previously mentioned bedroom/loft modification.
did you know that sumo wrestlers suck at aerobics and do not often land on their feet like a cat? however, for a split second... a tick before they rebound... they kinda look like what a wadded up piece of baloney looks like when you forcefully slam it onto the floor.
the aerobics studio is a great fitness resource. it doesn't take long to build up the stamina required to... outrun the odd bear or occasional moose that happens along when you're pooping in the woods as nature intended.

the best part of my Yurt is that it is powered (except for the greenhouse) by magic.
no really, kidding again.
it's really the dohyō that is the best part.

figures... i always get the crappy timeline. Enjoy the video.

No yurt is complete without yak butter tea and horse jerky

Here's the guy getting ready to set mine up.  The round building in the background:  communal bathroom.

wow! a communal bathroom! no bears or moose to worry about for sure!
when will it be finished by placing the giant funnel in the roof top opening? you know. the thing that catches the rain water to flush it. i also hear that the footing inside can be tricky. what with the floor slanting toward the big hole in the middle.

Just the occasional rogue camel.

I believe this particular bathroom was built by Ghengis Khan.  It's got a row of slits in the floor - I don't know where it goes from there

This is amazing! Is the yurt on your bucket list? What is dohyo? Where would you go to look it up?

I really need to stop trolling my Mother.

Wow. Just, wow.

I have always wondered about you, you've never changed avatar throughout the years and you're always very consistent in your posts. It's a good thing.  But now this? It's not for me but it is nonetheless very cool. +1  Interesting description on your yurts' interior.  You should post a little video tour.

PS You've never came across as evil. Just sayin'

"But now this?"
I can only guess that it was the result of some new symptom of a mental disturbance I've been observing within myself.
I wanted the process of commenting on the featured video to reflect how I might make the Yurt better. Using, within the critiquing, the forced perspective of a Prepper on LSD.

The idea of sumo wrestlers randomly falling from above seems hilarious.  ジェロニモ!
