Well I didn't grow up with that many channels. I was raised primarily on Sesame Street VHS, PBS. Disney, cartoon network, Nickelodeon, and eventually branched out. OH and Law and Order... Which I am surprised is still a big thing after a billion years.
L&O was/is an emotionally and intellectually engaging show, any good procedural is... Just like... Wait for it... Art Bell's C2C! 😁😁😁
Quality has a great shelf life. I still think one of the best written and well-acted shows of all time are the 1/2-hour episodes of Gunsmoke. Right up there with Twilight Zone.
In the last year or two, I've done binges of Real Love, Kimmy Schmidt, Six Feet Under, The Office, Parks and Recreation (Chris Pratt's character is not good for binging), The Good Place. 4 of those shows are related by writers, production teams and casts. I still prefer Star Trek TNG.
Keep meowing, Spooksie!
