Cedar plank salmon over the weekend. The most divine thing ever, it's edible bliss.

Fire or grill (outside)
Soaked cedar plank
Maple brown sugar and spices marinated salmon pieces
And much fun cooking it as you try to keep the plank from catching fire. You have to move the fish around for an even cook. The whole thing is a balancing act in the most literal sense. But I tell ya the first bite is like being wrapped in joy. The cathedral of flavor with the taste of the cedar is indescribable when done right.

Served with herb and butter roasted potatoes and a quick flashed pepper medley or mushrooms.

Cigars and scotch for dessert.

YES INDEED.  But they don't quite go with the above.

The She - does make an appy of very thinly sliced smoked salmon with capers and fresh dill. Cuts and toasts baguette slices with some nice olive oil or balsamic.

I've been playing with pasta. I'm really enjoying it. Made agnolotti from left over roasts and cabbage sauté. I might try it with spinach next time. Fresh mushroom sauce one night and a simple red sauce another. I made fresh udon one night with pork. I am finding it to be really fun.

Tonight is the American St Patty's traditional: Corned Beef in Guinness with red potatoes, carrots and cabbage- and horseradish of course.  Oh and fresh bread. Wanna come over? The husband bought extra beer @ShayP .

@PolkaDot  Nothing fun or interesting here.  Just some simple red beans & rice for me, w/Chorizo.  Not much rice though.  Had some marinated tomatoes as a little side salad too.  I've heard of the Instapot or Instant Pot...whatever the damn thing's called.  I notice them in stores just by the advertisement but essentially ignore them.  I don't even know how they work and I would never own one.  Same with the air fryer.  My buddy swears by it.  Won't own that either.  I digress...

Oh yum- we eat a lot of beans & rice variations. Red beans & Rice with a little spice sounds good!

I know Bart is in love with his insta, and they are pretty handy. It's basically a fancy electric pressure cooker. You can make it function similiar to a slow cooker but I don't like it as well for that personally. They certainly are fast! I've made some decent sweet potato and black bean chili in ours and it makes really good palak aloo.

It's an Instant Pot, jerkface.
I made sushi rice in it this afternoon and Char Siu this evening using the new air fryer lid version.

All right, all right! Geeeeez, don't get your panties in a bunch - it makes that vein in your forehead turn purple @Bart Ell  . That actually sounds fun, I like it. Why don't you have a rice cooker like a normal person? Mine sings to me in Korean. You and her it could perform a kitchen duet (@FISH  )
