I hate rancher style homes. Sure you could make them large on a 5000sQ FT or more slab but just walking to the other end of the house would make you thirsty and you may even forget why you went way over there in the first place. I've worked several rancher style homes and although I appreciate not having stairs to deal with I always hate the layout. Not one of these residence were for a disabled person in which case I can understand why this style of home is beneficial. BUT every single one was on land, a ranch land. So I guess there's that.

@KSM, I've liked my ranch-styled homes for the distance... Working on one side when kids were asleep on the other, cats can run sprints, watch porn without the spousal unit nearby, etc. Easier to vacuum, especially with hardwood and tile, more windows than my staired homes was another plus. Plumbing through a slab... Not so good.

Last night, I stopped by a place I have been driving by since 1984. As I approached the front door, two very beautiful womans, one of them easily over 6 feet tall in flats, walked by.

I went up to the door lady and asked about the building and the business. Beautiful place. Pretty small, but beautiful.

Are you a former rancher yourself? @sean92008 You seem like a city guy.  Unless you had livestock you cannot occupy a rancher style home. That's the law!
