The ROKU channel pisses me off. I've uninstalled it from all TV's.
I don't have such opportunities because I have a Roku TV. The latest thing they've been doing is, if you've paused on a channel like YouTube for a long time, it default switches to a Roku channel that they're trying to sell you.
What's most annoying is that they repeat the same ads over and over. Of late, the State of California has been advertising a
get your vaccination ad having Asian people dancing and acting happy (they celebrate today because tomorrow they will die?). Same people, different subtitles in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, and what I presume is Thai or Cambodian. That is horribly inappropriate because it takes on the stereotype of "they all look alike."
I only have four channels favorited... Star Trek, More Star Trek, This Old House and British Drama...
On the Roku Channel, pickings are slim in terms of interest. Early episodes of Gunsmoke, plus Reno 911, Cheap Irish Homes, Miranda and Swearenet by the Trailer Park Boys were all that I actually watched more than one episode of.
That movie about weird Al yankovic was so bad I didn't make it past a few minutes in.
