Fox in the yard this morning. There were two but one got spooked and ran off before I could get the picture. They almost have to have been two of the three that were playing on my back fence and chasing each other around last week.
Now that they've found the cat food I need to start chasing them away.

A few years ago I picked up one of these cheapo 120 film cameras, because it was the hip thing to do at the time. https://www.amazon.com/Holga-144120-120N-Plastic-Camera/dp/B000AL8JKW
The idea being that you get distortion and analog interference in the images from the film, the construction of the camera letting light in, the lens creating a vignette around the images, and the fact that the eyepiece is just a little offset.
I got a few good pictures over the years it took me to use up the film. But, the price tag on getting 120 film developed and then scanned just makes it not worth it to use it ever again.
These were taken in Michigan.

It was from a pretty intense thunderstorm. The setting sun was at an angle that everything was red. You should have seen the real sunset. This pic doesn't do it justice.

Q: What is the best way to post an inline picture in EllGab? I tried using the Insert Image button & using the URL of the picture. I guess it didn't work (although the preview worked for me). The attachment button works fine, but I see a lot of people posting inline images. Thanks for any help.

Excellent lighting. I was there at high noon, more or less, so all my photos ended up washed out.
Thanks man. Yeah high noon is hard to work with. Best bet is use a red filter, and acquire a b&w image. You end up with the blue skies that look almost black. Makes for a very cool “Ansel Adams†look.
These days that result can be achieved with the “noir†filter that’s built in to the iPhone. Or the “silvered†filter on the photoshop app.
That's got stunning color saturation!
That KOA campground there is a good one too.
Fuji Velvia 50 was the s back in the day. Professional color posstive (slide) film that popped. ISO 50, you pretty much had to use a tripod. But when shooting nature it was the best. The 6x7 film size makes for a huge image. Could easily yield 100mpxl image. Miss shooting film. It was a real challenge and much more rewarding than digital.

That's the right way, just make sure the [ ]'s are on each end and the last one contains the text "/img", minus my quotation marks.
I think your image requires a google login which none of us would have.

Yeah, three watermelons. It was the first time I'd seen the smaller round ones. It was a good thing I like lamb and watermelon, it's about all they had at the market sometimes.
The people around were looking at him and smiling, I think he enjoyed showing off.

Cool pics, PB!! :D
Thanks. I'll post some more later. Here are more pilgrims from rural Tibet in Lhasa. I think other Tibetans would know where they were from by their clothes, as I saw recurring colors, patterns, and styles.
-
I'm pretty sure these two guys are Khampas, warriors from southeastern Tibet. the CIA considered funding their rebellion in the early 60s if I recall correctly.
Tibet is a desolate colorless plain most of the time, the people make up for it with brightly painted buildings and clothes. I'm not sure what was going on with the two in the second photo and their elaborate red hats - the townsfolk wore everyday clothes, while the pilgrims wore their best.
It was interesting looking back at these photos after I got home. The bus from Lhasa to the border was a three day adventure, and looking at the Lhasa pix I recognized quite a few of the people in the background who would later be on that bus - like the woman in the off-white sweater on the right

Cool pictures. I'm also surprised they came out so well considering the glass in the plane etc. Spooky looking also considering some old Soviet plane and the desolate region.

I constantly fuss over "syntax" when inserting images. Jackstar helped me by telling me to "Quote" someone else who posted an image (just for the sake of analysis, not to actually really post - You can always back out or switch out by changing screens). Then, I would compare their exact characters with mine (sometimes in a new tab, or just glancing then backing out, a few times). Once in a while, writing their syntax down for comparison to mine. i discovered I make the following errors:
- Not putting the URL exactly betwee the brackets, like mising the exact spot. So, I enkarge my screen now, before even trying.
- Sometimes I ha a duplicate https://www, so I wukd backspace ocer it to fix the line.
- Not inserting AFTER the final word
, or accidently erasing part of the word
. This can also happen with the first , which you see does not have a "/" in it.
You probably got this down, but maybe this list can help new people.
I still struggle with posting videos, but people have tried to help me. I use the video post syntax of others, by "quoting" just to examine thie syntax to see how thy did it, but am still struggling.
-

Giving the image posting a try. I think my favorite is probably the one I took of a castle in Scotland a few years back while traveling for work. If you have the opportunity to visit do so, and I was fortunate enough to be there to see the Lonach Highland games. If you can pick your time go and see it. The men march the mountain a number of times and you can hear the footsteps before they come out of the trees to the clearing. Very cool.

They aren't at all aggressive, their diet is mostly berries, rodents, small birds, etc.
