Title: Military Paranormal
Post by: Whistler on September 15, 2018, 06:12:00 AM
This thread is a catch-all for all kinds of military reports, or accounts, of unexplainable / paranormal events that have happened in battle zones, or to military and former military  personnel.

Title: 1953 Kinross AFB Incident
Post by: Walks_At_Night on September 15, 2018, 07:52:30 AM
Nice idea for a thread...........

One of the lesser known but interesting cases is the 1953 Kinross Incident

On Novemeber 23rd, 1953 the radars at Kinross Air Force Base in northern Michigan picked up an object over the strategically vital Soo Locks.
An F-89 Scorpion was launched to investigate.  The F-89 was observed on radar until it neared the object.  The F-89's radar operator could not
pick the object up on his radar screen to the Scorpion was directed in via ground radar operators. The two objects were seen to merge
on the ground radar screen and became one, the single object then continued on its original course until it was lost.

Niether Pilot Moncla, Radar Operator Wilson nor the F-89 was ever seen again.

A few years back an F-89 was found with sonar in Lake Superior, but as I recall it was too deep to recover.  Since no other F-89 was missing in that area, the assumption was it was the Kinross jet.

The Afghanistan area is where the old tales say the red haired giants in America originally came from. (Actually the Caucasus Mtns..)
TheGlobalRealty w/ Josh Reeves did all the original research on this, and then people like  Marzulli,  and Wilcox swiped his research and proceeded to make a buck from it.  (Quayle was actually into it already - Gen6-Giants.)
J.R. has some YT vids about it, plus everything on his site.   ;)

What I find interesting is that Hynek investigated this case.
He stated there was no sighting reported and pretty much wrote it off.
