Pretty cool, they're making an Art Bell biopic with Paul Giamatti playing Art. Really good idea, can't wait to see that creepy Parumph, Nevada compound and the Filipina concubine pegging a ball gagged Art on the big screen. Art''s ending with unknown people in the dark stalking him as his various ailments take their toll. Actually the ending gonna be quite sad - maybe they'll turn the stalking into a real conspiracy not what it really was, Art shtick.

Noory gonna be jealous, nobody ever gonna make a movie about him - they already made Forrest Gump.

I wonder how the director will play it - a musical, a comedy, a romcom, Shakesperian tragedy, a buddy movie, psychological thriller... will there be cuts to a lonely stripper in northern California, Star Wars toys on the porch, burnt duck dinners, cats, indoor drones, glued lips, internet forums seething with comedy and ridicule... so much to fit in.

Art's version of Coast2Coast I'm pretty sure was the impetus for The X-Files TV series.

It certainly was a primed attitude for the show being developed...

San Diego was an early adopter of Art's show. Maybe he knew people. Maybe we sre enlightened here. Two major X-Files writers are from San Diego.

Nighttime radio back in the mid 90s was great In Southern California. We had Mr KFI/KABC and Art Bell.
Eh, nevermind...

Tonight Noory told his UFO guest Stephen Bassett about the proposed movie about Art Bell to star Paul Giamati. He then said he wants to try to get Paul on c2cam now...

Feigned interest. He's seething inside that the man that got all the tight Asian pussy, had all the fans, was well read, did a good job and worked hard on his craft but quit 40 times is getting a movie about him while George showed up for 20 years.
Eh, nevermind...

I read that Paul Giamatti is a hardcore paranormal guy and has his own paranormal podcast. Anybody who was a fan of Art's has no use for Noory, like Art had no use for him. Not sure even Bill Mumy would take Noory's call these days.

To promote his bar gig in Encino, you bet he'd go on C2C!  Five people might show up to the show!!!

I do hope that they go back to the early days, the stunts, the dating service, the swinging. Airyn is probably happy for the paycheckoff to not interfere with the production.

Anybody know how much Art's estate was worth and who got most of it?

I'm not a betting guy, oh, I am. Airyn got it all. I doubt Art Bell the 17th got anything, maybe a cursory amount. Ultimately, he probably has millions from the school district.

Art was listed as being worth something like $4M or $9M at one point. When I posted that In the old country, Art denied it. Considering his intellectual property rights, a lifestyle that didn't spend all the money, look at where he lived... My guess is that he was easily worth over $3 million if Irene didn't blow it all on her family, her boyfriend and gambling.

His payoff from the show and the old network, the book, the movie, the sale of the radio station, all his properties, his disability/veteran benefits probably helped out a bit...
Eh, nevermind...

Norry will get one of those vintage signoff screens that they would put on television stations years ago when the station would signoff at midnight.  Maybe it was called a test pattern.

Noory's not the only Coast host losing it apparently. Last night I listened to George Knapp hosting, his first guest was a Kennedy Assassination expert discussing what may come out when Trump releases all the remaining files including these newly discovered files nobody knew existed. So the first hour ends and Knapp thanks the guest hurriedly and gives a quick plug for a new book not related to JFK by the guest. The guest and myself were both surprised by Knapp ushering him off the air, he was a decent guest - he responded to Knapp with a confused 'uh ok - bye George'. So I went to the kitchen to make something to eat, returned 10 minutes later and was surprised to find the guest had returned. Knapp definitely messed up thinking 2 hours had gone by.

Last night Knapp's schedule was posted on the c2cam website with one guest for the first hour, a different guest for the 2nd hour, and a third guest for the final 2 hours.  I think the first guest could only do one hour because he was on the east coast and it was too late for him beyond that.
