You startled me @juan.  At first I thought you said Junior Samples, but then I remembered that he died 36 years ago.  Time flies.

Ach. The brilliant Jerry Herman, composer of so many wonderful Broadway musicals, has passed away at age 88. He brought me countless hours of joy and pure unadulterated pleasure with his works. A great loss to be sure.

Not really a “celebrity” death, but something worth mentioning because of how much it touched all of us in Louisiana and the Tiger Nation. Earlier before the Peach Bowl game, LSU Defensive Coach Steve Ensminger’s daughter-in-law was among those killed in a small plane crash in Lafayette, LA. They had been on their way to the Peach Bowl. Coach O was the one who broke the news to Coach Ensminger. God bless him for having the strength and courage to stay at his job in coaching our Tigers to a spectacular win tonight. Our thoughts and prayers to him and the family in this sad time.

I heard a guy a few blocks away knows someone who had a friend who recently died of old age. Not really a “celebrity” death, but something worth mentioning because of how much of a dick The Bart is.

Should have said Offensive Coach, not Defensive. Bart, I know you like to be funny and most of the time you make me laugh, this isn’t one of them. The death of someone we care about to me is too serious to be flippant.

I care deeply about this unnamed daughter-in-law of an Offensive Coach.
