I started loving Bill Withers stuff with an early 79s single, I think on Buddha Records...  What a voice!  This speech shows he was quite the personality too.

Pancreatic cancer was reported. While I don't think everybody who has come down with pancreatic cancer is a complete and total douchebag, there have been some famous ones, real assholes and people in high-stress positions (and, like Steve Jobs, both).
