Here's another beautiful evening dress made from interesting material. This is crocheted metallic gold yarn. It was made in 1937 from Kostio de War, currently in storage at the V&A.

@Spookcat I did not realize that beetles were used to decorate things until you introduced me to it via your video. Apparently often used with metallic thread on either cotton or linen. Check this out:

Thank you. @Ciardelo  I do. Well, at least I think I do.  My brain cannot process what I saw in that pic.  EVERYTHING is wrong.  I can't even joke about it.  The person that wore that outfit should be shamed for eternity.  The person that created it should be incinerated.  My opinion of course.
