No argument, but women who trade pets for children engage in eternal smother love.

Unhealthy, imho...

Dang it, I like Connie. She's a little goofy but there's no drama, no tear-stained microphone and no phony vocal inflections. I'd rather listen to her than Lee Cigar with her soporific NPR delivery.

Did anyone hear why the guest took her dog to be euthanized?

As far as him being scared, he could have simply been frightened by the presence of strangers.  Or a clinical environment.  Usually, dogs are well sedated prior to euthanasia.  She didn't say whether he calmed down.  I might have to go re-listen to this, but it was very sad.  Was he euthanized at home or in a clinic?

I wonder why there was only one guest.

Half an hour into the third hour it sounds like her dog had to go to the vet, where he deceased with her next to him.  Those are the only details I got, leaving a lot of questions.  He may have been frightened because his body was losing functions.

Yes agreed, and Ms. Connie usually has more fun/wacky topics.  Her shows are perfect to eat nachos and drink beer to, how can you argue with that.  Perfect example is her show tonite.  First guest made a documentary about a guy who predicted a crop circle.  Second guest remote-viewed a bigfoot.

I like her but I don't listen as much because she likes to either bring up drinking or play a drinking bumper music song.  Nothing wrong with that, except it alienates most people who are serious about recovering from alcoholism.

It's been a minute since I've tuned in to C2C and I enjoyed listening to the Connie W. laid-back style of woo.  Coast can't pay the bills if they rely solely on my desultory attendance, so there MUST be some regulars who appreciate her as well. Right? Has to be.

or not...who knows. Still, it was nice to spend the night with Connie

It wasn't too long ago (I can't recall when) but Connie Willis was supposed to do open lines for the second half of the show.  However she spent all but 20 minutes rambling senselessly about stuff she was interested in and what has been happening blah blah blah.  The woman is a ditz.

Maybe she didn't have any callers. sNoory's "Sad Pack" get on so frequently maybe that's evidence of not that many callers are out there.

I don't know why, but that selfie YouTube of her getting doughnuts and milk at a drive-in window before the show has a strange attraction for me.  It's comfortably numbing.  "Watch this."  And I did.  More than once.  Twice as many times if you count the fact that the YouTube duplicates itself halfway thru.

A new entrant into the "most mentally ill ever" guest on C2C sweepstakes.....Connie's guest last night, Matthew Roberts.  The irony of this is last night's fruitcake was an "oh shit, we have to have a guest" emergency fill in for the scheduled fruitcake who had mysteriously disappeared.

Did the original guest ever get tracked down?

Willis is so fucking annoying. I really do hear a lot of Heather Wade there. You know, playing the role of a radio host, what radio hosts are supposed to say. That fake active listening crap. Really difficult to be listening to and trying to pay attention. I had it on for background noise, when I shower, when I do stuff in the garage...  I did notice that she said that their original guest was missing a couple-three times. It was almost like she was trying to increase the drama.

I remember an old show, probably Hily Rose was hosting, when the guest was calling from his motel hideout.  Hiding from the government.  His phone went dead during the program.  Apparently the Coast producer called the motel office enough to get the clerk to go check on the guy.  He was sitting on the bed with the phone to his ear.  He thought the show had gone to break.

Chuckles tonight.  These topics should go well, with Chuckles trying to find a Bigfoot angle.

TONIGHT
JUL

CHANNELING THOMAS JEFFERSON / UNDERSTANDING THE NARCISSIST
First Half: Several Thomas Jefferson scholars devised questions, thinking they were participating in a history project. Instead, they became part of a journey to Jefferson's immortal mind facilitated by a medium. Author Suzanne Munson joins Connie Willis (info) to discuss this experiment and how Jefferson, from his place in spirit, believes America’s government has lost its footing.

Second Half: H.G. Tudor is a diagnosed narcissistic psychopath who provides unrivaled insight into his world. He has written more than 50 books to allow people to understand the mind of the narcissist. He'll reveal how to make sense of entanglement with a narcissist.

Surprise of the first segment was outspoken atheist Walt's question to the guest who "scribed" a book of channeling sessions with Thomas Jefferson. I expected him to start off with his standard "with all due respect to the guest...," then lambast her for her belief in the afterlife.   Instead, he recommended she next consider books channeling Lincoln and JFK as he gave a running commentary on both former Presidents' sexual exploits.

Tonight Connie's first guest is trucker and frequent C2C caller, "Eric the Mind Control Guy."  If this works out, Connie may want to consider inviting other regular callers to be guests.  By the the middle of hour two, I think we could count on Walt asking her favorite positions and if she likes anal.  She, of course, would giggle.

Yep on her next show expect old Skeptic Walt and Cornelius as her guests.  They both often call in on her shows.
First time Cornelius called in to Connie, I remember she immediately recognized his name from the movie "Planet of the Apes" as one of the chimpanzees!

Yes, Eric was surprisingly articulate and told his stories in a matter-of-fact manner that didn't sounded scripted or rote.  He presented himself better than the majority of C2C guests.

Whether what he claims is true I don't know, but I think he believes it.  I do question his claim the project was called "Mind Altering Research Study."  Highly classified programs are usually given classified code names to hide the true nature of what is being undertaken.  For example, before B-2 became grey, then white, we were known by the classified program code name "Senior Cejay."  Even if someone stumbled across that code name, it wasn't tied to or infer B-2. Seems odd the Army would give a classified program a name that so clearly identifies what they are doing.

His astronaut skit is, of course, well known.

One of the guys in the low observables group was apparently a very talented artist. He freehanded a patch/insignia that showed a stereotypical little Mexican guy wearing a sombrero and pancho, obviously taking a siesta, sitting under a cactus. His name was "Carlos Jesus", and there was a subdued design on his pancho that resembled the Greek letter "Sigma". Sigma was used by the low observable troops to quantify radar cross section, or stealthiness. So what we had was "Senor CJ" along with a symbol used to define stealth qualities. The cactus represented classified desert test sites. This became the unofficial program office insignia. I don't know if actual patches were ever made, but we certainly had the insignia on coffee mugs and plagues, and I think it was used on briefing slides.

"Eric" knew a lot until he didn't.  He was all over the place in the brief time I heard (she had to cut him off from starting something because of a break...  1 hour left to go...

Was that "Dr. Dirtbag" he was saying?

That alligator thing seemed far, far fetched.  Was he reciting an unsold movie script?

Dirtbag was the psychiatrist he calmed victimized him in the Army mind control testing.

If you think the alligator tale was out there, then you must have missed the "Eric got eaten by a whale" saga.  He claimed he was swallowed whole by a whale and extracted by a chainsaw wielding USN NCO SEAL.

What?

He claimed he was being tested to judge his fear by being placed inside the mouth of a live, captive whale.  The whale got spooked, swallowed Eric, then escaped to open water.  The whale was recaptured, and that's when the intrepid SEAL cut open the whale with a chainsaw and extricated the unconscious Eric.

Connie doesn't pay attention anyway.  I think he was messing with her too.  Like the guy that called Noory a "fucking liar" and it got through. That was back in 2006 or 07. Noory didn't even pay attention.  Perhaps he just didn't hear it.  Then he went on to the next caller.  Typically Noory catches that stuff, like when John Barbour dropped the N-bomb.  Then John was no more.  However it made it to iTunes.  I do believe I posted that clip on Bellgab.  Upon your request actually.

In the last hour this morning during open lines, Connie took a call from a vegan and animal rights activist/author who was clearly bucking for a C2C guest appearance. During his spiel, he told the story of a guy who weighed 135 pounds before becoming a vegan, then four years later after becoming a vegan he weighed over 1000 pounds.  At that point Connie told him to leave his contact information with the screener and she went to a break.

Did I miss something?  Assuming the half ton guy story is true, wouldn't that be a reason not to become a vegan?

Connie's show last night wasn't bad, her two guests were fairly entertaining and she went along for the ride.  The old gal who talked her way into becoming a literary agent was a stream of consciousness thinker who, other than taking the odd breath, didn't pause long enough for Connie to say much.  The guest also set the C2C record for the number of times saying, "Anyway....." in a two hour segment.  Had it been a drinking game, we'd have all been shit faced.

The second guest, an astrophysicist from some community college in FL, was fun to listen to, and was most gracious in answering the typically asinine C2C callers' questions.  Connie kinda yucked it with him, and they seemed to develop a rapport.   I'd like to hear this guy with either Ian or Richard.

Credit where credit is due, Connie did a good job interviewing animation voiceover actor Bob Bergen this morning.  Most of the callers either wanted Bergen to do a specific character, or wanted to do their own imitations of those character voices.  Connie did a good job moderating and Begen was very gracious.  Finally a show/topic where her annoying giggles where not out of place with the comical guest.

And btw, for those of us who've wondered about Connie's age, she told us she graduated from high school in 1983.  Assuming she was truthful, that puts her in the 57-59 age  range.  I had her pegged in her early 50s.

Epic call last night on Open Lines with C2C semi regular Joseph from Monterey.  He's the guy who is always telling us about his knowledge and background with the paranormal, aliens, exorcism, remote viewing, psychic healing, etc.  He opened the call by complaining about how inexperienced C2C guests were and their lack of knowledge compared to someone like himself. Connie took offense and defended her guest, starting maybe the most bizarre 4-5 minute conversation I've heard on C2C.

As Joseph talked about his abilities, Connie totally changed her tack and began telling us how much she respected Joseph.  She played up his abilities, and then without warning asked Joseph where the listeners could avail themselves of his expert assistance.  Website perhaps?  A phone number, maybe?

At first he acted like he hadn't heard her, but Connie brushed that aside and asked him again how listeners could contact him. Joseph stuttered like Porky Pig, then hemmed and hawed about not doing well talking to others.  Connie kepted at it though, telling him how much he could do to help others.....yadda, yadda, yadda.  Joseph was shitting himself on live radio.  He finally managed to hang up, where he was followed by Corny who made a comment about how much time she'd give Joseph.

So after the next break, Connie told us she was getting lots of emails and messages about the call with Joseph.  No details, but I'd loved to have read them.

I'm trying to figure out if that Regan character is delusional or just a great conman. He talked about leading his clients into a Heavenly realm, where they meet "The Council" and their individual guides.  In this Heavenly realm, all is good, beautiful, peaceful, love, et al, and it's from his work with  those in this realm he is helping people.

So I wonder how Regan's Heavenly mentors feel about him charging troubled people for the wisdom and knowledge they provided to him for free?

She is still too young for skeptic Walt!  ;D

Walt would still do her.

If she let me pull her hair and slap her ass, I'd still do her.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I didn't hear the slam dunk call, but I heard a guy with three questions and she proceeded to take 20 seconds telling him they didn't have enough time.

What is so amazing is that even open lines segments from the old Art Bell days get replayed on the network. That says volumes about the difference in callers. Art had JC, George has Cornholio. Art had Doc Democrat. George has 2,532-day brain injury boy. Etc., etc.

Check this page out. This is from when she first debuted on Coast to Coast AM...

Connie had some character (2nd guest) on last night who spent the better part of his first hour telling about his Bigfeetz experiences on his granny's Pennsylvania farm when he was a young teen. He called in Stan Gordon's guys who "investigated" the farm.  He said one of the investigators noted apple trees and railroad tracks through/near the property, claiming Bigfeetz were common around both.  Then he told the kid Bigfeetz travel on trains!

I have this image of some poor hobo running like a scalded ass ape to jump a train, only to fling himself into a freight car and get the surprise of his life.

Connie...

I didn't hear any of it, thankfully. I turned on the radio and immediately heard "guest host Connie Willis" and went back to streaming Israeli war coverage by Agenda Free TV.

I missed the Somewhere in Time with Art Bell because I was watching Israeli coverage.

She's definitely in Generation X. Hence her bumper music, and she has more '80s references than "The Goldbergs" and "Stranger Things", combined.

She seems like a nice woman, but she's better suited for the Home Shopping Network. "We'll get back to your "Bigfoot in a flying saucer" story in a second, but first let me tell you about my mall rat days when I was in high school in the '80s (ten minutes go by).

Three great calls last night with Connie.  The first was while the guest, a UFO expert/experiencer, was still there.  Myet, who has always struck me as being 105 years old, complimented Connie for her choice of "Get Down On It" by Kool and the Gang as a bumper.....one of her favorite songs. Who knew?  The mental image of Myet "getting down on it" is too disturbing to contemplate.

Later, during open lines, a woman called in to tell her UFO story. She explained she saw a very bright light approaching her, but it "shape shifted" into an old propeller plane.  Classic description of an airplane with landing lights illuminated.

The best was a guy who claimed to be a writer who told Connie the USAF was above the law since it wasn't in existence when the US Constitution was ratified.

I felt like Oliver Wendell Douglas.

There was also a caller that claimed to have had a dream where George Noory himself came and told him complicated astronomical information.  The caller wondered if he had remote-viewed the real Noory!
Clearly that wasn't really Noory since he is clueless about any of that stuff...

Connie mentioned Noory only replies to her emails with very short 4 words, she complimented him on being so concise!

Although I have no tattoos, or ever wanted any for that matter, I did enjoy last night's tattoo removal guest.  He had some really good stories...some funny, some sad.  The thing I found most amusing about him was he tended to talk like the Hank Kimball character from "Green Acres."  The later it got, the more he talked like him.  Maybe he was just tired at 3:30am.

He had a good personality. The self-face tat was pretty good. The removal was excellent.

This Chris Cantrell guy did the voice for Charlie Brown's teacher.

Don't producers work this shit out before airtime?

Connie's guest tonight is going to be Elaine, the colorful old gal Bell interviewed on MitD about the Bigfoot that lived in her backyard.  This was one of few MitD shows where Bell genuinely sounded like he was having a good time.  Among other things, Elaine told Bell the Bigfoot wore a flannel shirt and liked lemon pie. I also seem to recall her alluding to something sexual, but Bell steered away from that conversation.

I'm stll not convinced the gal Bell talked to wasn't paid talent.
Going to be interesting to see if the guest tonight is the same woman.  Not expecting it, but I wouldn't be surprised if some scammer got past the C2C crack staff.

I was very disappointed MtM and Corny didn't call in last night as Connie was interviewing the former Hell's Angel president.  Hearing Mike tell the biker how much he meant to him as a young person, and Corny retell his prison experiences (and his position on the Rapture) would have been radio gold.

Tonight we have Giggles Willis delving into her favorite subjects again - a walk in the Field of Dreams, an area filled with Sasquatch, little people, and fairies. Even Walt the Connie stalker has had enough of this drivel.

I will listen to Art Bell on somewhere in time, I don't think I'll be listening to good old Connie...
