After Nirvana ended Dave Grohl turned down a tour with Tom Petty and a few other jobs.
Why? He didn't want to look out and not see Kurt there.
It never occurred to me that's why he switched to guitar for Foo Fighters until I heard him say it recently.

Drummers are the ones who early on make the choice to cart around the most gear and stair at dudes asses every night.  He just got wise to it.  And he decided he wanted to ruin every, single, rockumentary for several years with his media whoring.

He was recently on Howard Stern and said that 3/4 of Nirvana still gets together and jams. This includes Pat Smear.

Ahhh. That's unfair. He recently made a very good road documentary with the Foo Fighters. On the road. It was a documentary
