I miss Food Lion.  Best deals.  It was a half mile from my house when I lived in Virginia.  So convenient.  Their perks plan was great.  There were a few times I checked out and didn't have to pay.  That was a good feeling.  Especially surprising since I never paid attention to how many points I accrued.

Not a fan of Trader Joe's whatsoever.

We had a Food Lion that opened up in a brand new building a few weeks before the television report about bleaching meat to eliminate odors and selling cheese that had been gnawed on by rodents. It closed down within a month. Now it has been converted into a climate controlled self storage rental place.

So that dude chucked a little Clorox on some fish.  Big whup.  You can get a 30 pack of Hamm's for like $13.50 man.

The European Space Agency has predicted a "risk zone" that encompasses "any portion of Earth's surface between about 41.5N and 41.5S latitude", which includes virtually all of the Americas south of New York...

South of New York? Awesome! C'mon on you big, beautiful bugger. Nail the House of Pain!  I ain't never pounding code in that hell hole again!

I remember that.  Happened soon after I moved to Virginia.  The stores there were shut down in my area and they cleaned house.   Not just the buildings, but management, etc.

They turned it around though.  I lived in a bad part of town and the perception was that the store would be bad.  Nope.  Very clean, always stocked, and nice employees...give or take a few.

From the land of sky blue waters. @FISH have you ever had a Hamm’s?

@Walks_At_Night did you ever drink Drewery’s big D when the cans were shaped like kegs?

My bad. Looks like those were Hamm’s too.

I remember as a kid the fridge was stocked with whatever was on sale. Hamm’s, Old Style, Schlitz  or Drewery’s. Never even tasted anything else until I moved to Texas.

"Being trod upon by a dwarf," one of the many "best lines" in Spinal Tap.

This too easy?

Shipped another release of our product so as a reward the White Shoe Boys gave us the day off - freebee.   Was going to go to the state park but they are talking about storms and hail. So went to the ACE this morning and got a new valve cartridge for the drippy kitchen faucet and fixed that. I'm wanting to try one of these $1 Ribeye Steaks that they have down an the Family Dollar - they look pretty delish there on the banner but Mrs. Walks is objecting mightily. She's afraid that the dollar store is awash in virus [unlike the ACE where the vital Delta valve was obtained from] and that a $1 Ribeye [which may or may not be Beef] will rot my innards.  What say you thread?

There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
