It's a theme room and we're both in agreeance, although she doesn't drink whiskey or smoke cigars, so.. ???   I want the carpet oot o' my studio. Wood! It's the wood that makes it good!

Some of the better sounding studios that I've been in here in Southern California had rough sawn cedar as a slat lining with the occasional solid panel.
Eh, nevermind...

Wood is always good.  And Woods usually is, too.

I thought the Gong would suck. I was wrong - it turned out pretty cool.

@sean92008  From a favorite place in our old town.
Walls and ceiling, totally doable, I can do all that.
Dimmer lighting. Green stained glass wall sconces.
Red wine wingback cigar lounge chairs. Buttons on the backing.
Dark rustic wood floor.

Some nice things in that home but way overpriced, even with the water.  Your use of "stool" is not lost on me.

Right. Plus that water ain't all it cracked up to be. That is ground zero for fish fly central.  Besides for half that price you can get a lighthouse:

In my 'quoted' by you post I inferred that the scene in the pictured room was too bright. I was simply showing you the walls and ceiling. Gonna be a long, but fun, road to get every detail done right.

As someone who lives 50 miles north of the border, and used to have a girlfriend in a city called Tecate (yes, the beer is produced there), I can say in no uncertain terms that I don't like going to any part of Mexico. Even the legitimate locales and cities. Law enforcement, from the local level all the way up to the federales, is corrupt as fuck.

Having been raised in this area, people who were victims of Mexican drunk drivers were held for ransom at hospitals before getting real treatment. I remember the many stories of people dying from basic problems after an accident because the foreigner is always considered guilty. Proving your innocence, even with video backing up your story, is quite the challenge...

Completely agree.  The last time I was in Mexico was about 5 years ago.  I won’t be back.
