Was reading Ian Toll's book Twilight of the Gods last night. The author was discussing general Haywood Hansell whom was known as 'Possum'. According to the author, when the general's wife was asked why he had such a strange nickname she said something akin to "Well just look at him".   I had to investigate and it would seem that it was a pretty reasonable handle for him.

This is absolutely true.  Years ago before we opened for dinner service, we pranked the servers on a dinner special.  We had a dry erase board in the kitchen and would change specials daily.  They had to write the specials down once they started their shift.  Our thought was it would be funny to have a Flintstone's themed dish.

One of them was Fruity Pebbles encrusted scallops.  We didn't pay attention and neglected to tell the entire staff it was a joke. One server was unaware.  Oops.  We received an order for it.  Awkward.  I didn't speak to the customer but she took it well and thought it was funny.  I found it amazing she genuinely wanted to try it.

Our first thought was that the server was pranking us back by placing the order.  Nope.

After watching a bit tonight, I can only conclude that the youth of today is worthless and weak.

Oh hell, you should see the cars I've been looking at, I've even asked to look at the inspections, the youth that are doing these jobs are fucking idiots. It really is consistent too, looking at invoices and seeing things that are supposed to be done that clearly haven't been done. A bunch of entitled pussies...

I even asked for a general manager to come out and walk through the lack of preparation on one car. He refused to come out.

Right now, they have an invitation for me to come back to the dealership and I am asking for them to prepay for my day. I'm actually asking for money up front before I even head out the door to them again.
