Evansville. Reminds me that I have a pristine Mark Fidrych baseball card from when he played for the Evansville Triplets right before he retired. A pretty rare card, I would imagine. A little research shows that it is worth about $2.28. So much for that potential windfall. Can't even get a gallon of milk for it.

The Vegas Valley is on an aquifer. If I recall correctly, they pipe that water to the reservoir. If they're still doing that, they're just exposing it to more evaporation.

I've been thinking about this food shortage thing for years.  We have enough quality can goods live eat well for about 18 months. We could stretch it to 24 but I might get cranky.  Also, portable solar kits to keep food frozen ETC.
